belay Pitch 2Lara Dresser / Logistics Manager  Growing up in California and Oregon, Lara connected to the aesthetics of rock climbing early in her childhood.  Inspired by visits to Yosemite in the 1970’s and the great traditionalists of the time, Lara describes the experience, “I’ll never forget how enthralled I felt watching these scrappy and wild climbers pushing the limits of human ability on those spectacular granite walls. They were bigger than life and represented a sense of freedom I wanted to bring into my own life.”  Years into her climbing career, Lara would find herself back in Yosemite climbing the same routes she dreamed of as a child.  Her climbing career has also taken her to Patagonia and numerous rock walls in North America.  The adventure and excitement of the climbing life brings Lara to S2Kilimanjaro.  In addition to being our Logistics Manager, Lara provides back-country skill training and leads conditioning treks for members preparing for their ascent of Kilimanjaro.

Armed with a Juris Doctorate and a Masters of Library and Information Science, Lara brings over 15 years of professional experience to S2.  She manages all organizational, administrative and technical operations.  She also enjoys ice climbing, canyoneering, backpacking, and mountaineering.
